This was an exciting opportunity for me. Dave The Raw Food Trucker came through San Luis Obispo County to share his phenomenal healing story with us at Bliss Cafe (thanks to our mutual friend and photographer JoJo Shaiken Photography. After discussing the many benefits of a raw, vegan and organic lifestyle rich in fresh green juices, Dave invited me up to share my background with losing over 60 pounds after changing to a vegetarian and raw food diet. On day 48 of my 60-day juice cleanse, it was incredibly inspiring to me to meet such a person as Dave. He advised the attendees that I am the local resource for raw, vegan nutrition and juice coaching, and then we carried on with magnificent discussions on nutrition, healing and metaphysics. Stay tuned for some future collaborations!
Day 49 of my 60-day juice cleanse and I'm super excited to add-in a water-only fast for three days. Two of those days will include a silence retreat including no visitors, speaking, phones, internet, music, electronics, etc. Much of the retreat will be spent in meditation and silence. That will surely take my healing even deeper! Prior to that, I'll be packing up my house and after the water-silence bit, moving into my new house - what a shift aye?! After the 60-day goal, I will wait until hunger returns before breaking my fast. I'll start trying to stimulate hunger by smelling foods, preparing more foods for others and maybe upping my bee pollen and powdered Earth consumption. Since I have ZERO hunger now, waiting until hunger returns after 60 days will be a great indicator as to the progress of my cleanse. Excited to have experienced this journey!
My next 10-day, fully coached Juice Cleanse starts March 1st. More information on the program is available at http://juicing.wellnessbymothernature.com.
A few weeks ago, I started training for the toughest 5k in my area. Approximately 2 miles of it is up and down a steep hill. I've recently added daily yoga using www.yogaglo.com to the mix and I love it! Such a wonderful program that enables you to practice before the sun comes up so you can move on with your day.
Truly feeling amazing and even a little bittersweet that this cleanse is coming to an end soon.

"I am here for support, guidance, education and as an example of what works for ME. What works for me may work for you or at least provide you with a starting point from which to explore. I am discovering what works for me at every moment. I don’t have it all figured out, but I do feel I have a teaching and healing nature with which I am here to share. In this blog, I offer you a view into my practice of being that which makes my experience - MINE."
Certified Holistic Health and Nutrition Practitioner, Stephanie Austin, was guided into holistic living in 2002 when she was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis, an uncommon autoimmune disease affecting the skin and muscle.
Opting for education rather than medication, Austin enrolled in a Holistic Health Practitioner program in 2004 after realizing she'd been gifted with disease so that she may learn to heal herself and later teach others to do the same.
Since her education, Austin has released over 60 pounds and conquered years of junk food addiction through holistic healing and nutrition techniques that she now passes onto others through her business, Wellness by Mother Nature.
Austin has been the Director of Education and Board Member for the nonprofit organization, The Wellness Kitchen. She is the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Graduate Award from www.ACHS.edu.
Austin is an author, coach and speaker who empowers people on the healing value of nutrition and the innate self-healing abilities of a body in balance.
She has helped hundreds of people achieve balance through methods such as meditation, herbs, movement, supplements, aromatherapy, homeopathy, nutrition, mind-body connection, energy healing and by closely listening to the needs of her clients.
It is awareness that brings change, not your effort. Why does it happen through awareness? - because the awareness changes you. And when you are different, the world is different. It is not a question of creating a different world, it is only a question of creating a different you. You are your world; so if you change, the world changes.
