I'm getting my juice on again, as I do each January, and I'm rockin my socks off! In all my years and several hundred days of juice cleansing and fasting, my last one was the easiest and this one is starting out that way as well. Sometimes it's easy and other times it's hard, but I am committed to doing it either way. 2 down, 58 more to go. Also super excited to have 11 people signed up for my 10-day Juice Cleanse coaching program starting Friday. The next one starts January 14th for those of you interested. And I'll try to blog my journey here.
To everyone pondering whether or not juicing is for you, consider this:
Juice cleansing is the process of drinking freshly made vegetable and/or fruit juices accompanied by herbal teas, broths, coconut water and fresh water. In drinking this nutrient-rich liquid (without the fiber) for a period of days you are, what I like to call, 'nutrificating' the body, removing toxic substances and regaining empowerment over food again. This detoxification offers incredible healing on many levels.
You might ask, "Why don't we just EAT all of the veggies instead of juicing them? Isn't the fiber good for you?"
Yes, fiber is GREAT for you. In fact most of us eating a Standard American Diet don't get enough fiber in the daily diet. Thing is, we also don't get enough NUTRIENTS in our daily 'eating' diet. Can you imagine EATING as much fresh veggies as you would be juicing?! That is several pounds of nutrient dense foods you'll be juicing and several pounds worth of nutrients going to your blood stream within 15 minutes without relying on the efficacy of your digestive system, which is often sub-par to begin with.
Aside from fiber, we also never give our digestion a rest or a cleanse. We rest our legs each evening when we put them up in the recliner. We clean our external body each day in the shower. We rest of muscles if we worked too hard. We rest and clean EVERYTHING else, but not our digestive system. With a 'Juicing Cleanse', you DRINK your nutrients and rest your digestive system for 1, 3, 7, or even 30+ days using freshly made vegetable and fruit juices, herbal teas, coconut water, vegetable broths and water.
We go into more detail on the difference between 'juicing' and 'fasting' within the context of the program. We also cover the science behind fasting and provide countless tips on assuring your success during this period of repairing, rebuilding and rejuvenating. We hope you join
us for the Juice Cleanse Coaching Program or the 10day Raw Foods Cleanse (coming soon) if you are not quite ready to fast on liquids alone.

"I am here for support, guidance, education and as an example of what works for ME. What works for me may work for you or at least provide you with a starting point from which to explore. I am discovering what works for me at every moment. I don’t have it all figured out, but I do feel I have a teaching and healing nature with which I am here to share. In this blog, I offer you a view into my practice of being that which makes my experience - MINE."
Certified Holistic Health and Nutrition Practitioner, Stephanie Austin, was guided into holistic living in 2002 when she was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis, an uncommon autoimmune disease affecting the skin and muscle.
Opting for education rather than medication, Austin enrolled in a Holistic Health Practitioner program in 2004 after realizing she'd been gifted with disease so that she may learn to heal herself and later teach others to do the same.
Since her education, Austin has released over 60 pounds and conquered years of junk food addiction through holistic healing and nutrition techniques that she now passes onto others through her business, Wellness by Mother Nature.
Austin has been the Director of Education and Board Member for the nonprofit organization, The Wellness Kitchen. She is the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Graduate Award from www.ACHS.edu.
Austin is an author, coach and speaker who empowers people on the healing value of nutrition and the innate self-healing abilities of a body in balance.
She has helped hundreds of people achieve balance through methods such as meditation, herbs, movement, supplements, aromatherapy, homeopathy, nutrition, mind-body connection, energy healing and by closely listening to the needs of her clients.
It is awareness that brings change, not your effort. Why does it happen through awareness? - because the awareness changes you. And when you are different, the world is different. It is not a question of creating a different world, it is only a question of creating a different you. You are your world; so if you change, the world changes.
